What are the benefits of knowing who we are in Christ?
- Confidence
- Justified and Peace with God
- Righteous
- Extra benefits
Confidence
When I know WIAIC my spiritual walk is different. I do not waiver on taking the next step. I cannot be deceived by the lies of the enemy. I am CONFIDENT in my spiritual position. This empowers me to handle every situation with authority and success in accomplishing the mission the Lord has given me.
If I have blue eyes, you don’t have to convince me of it. I just know it and no false voice can convince me otherwise. And more than that, I wouldn’t waste my time entertaining or debating that voice. I would immediately dismiss it as false.
Justified and Peace with God
Knowing WIAIC is the key to walking in peace with Christ. Knowing that I have been justified gives me that peace. If the enemy keeps haunting me with my past sins, I cannot have the PEACE this verse says I should. I can go on in depression and tormented with guilt from the enemy instead of rejoicing in the PEACE I should have with God through Jesus Christ.
Righteous
God says that we are righteous in Christ. That means that I must use my body (all of it: my eyes, my hands, my ears) only for the glory of God. Thus, if someone asks me to join them in playing the Ouija board, I can with confidence say to them “sorry but my hands belong to my Lord and Savior and they can’t be used for the world of the devil.”
Extra Benefits
All these benefits are TRUTH. It is not a “maybe.” It is a fact.
It is like having money in the bank. We need to know we have it and we also need to use it. Otherwise what good is it?
Thus, I MUST be diligent in acquiring this knowledge of Who I Am in Christ.
And more than that I MUST apply and/or use that knowledge.

I agree that knowing who I am in Christ is so important and after all He created me in His image. He wants us to know the truth and on e we do we can walk in that truth. Our identity in Christ needs to be solidified in order to enjoy all His benefits.
Amen! One thing that I found to be of great importance is to understand this part of the sentence: “IN CHRIST.”
Wow! This was a great read. I like how it was mentioned that your eyes, your body, your hands should be used for God. That is important when faced with difficult situations when the world tempts you but you can remind yourself that serving, knowing, and accepting God is the only way to eternity.
Amen, again! And, if we are in Christ the Lord “washes” us as soon as we repent. Repent means to turn around from that deed and never do it again.
Also, being in Christ is what we need to look out for: making sure we stay in Christ.
