My Journey
From our prepubescent years to adulthood few are fortunate to have someone advise us through life’s different stages helping us make decisions in our best interest.
Since a child, I always had a sensitivity to celestial mysteries. My thoughts
floated the idea of dedicating my life to the service of God, as a nun.
The Shaping of a Diamond
Reflecting the Image of Jesus Christ
Are you longing for a deeper walk with God?
The “Master Jeweler,” Jesus Christ, shapes us into His image. As light reflects through the prism of a diamond, so is the Lord’s desire to beam His Light through us.
The Shaping of a Diamond will change your life as you learn about the different techniques used by professional jewelers to shape a diamond and how they correlate to how we can allow Jesus Christ to shape our lives.
With fourteen devotional-style chapters, The Shaping of a Diamond can be used for personal devotions or even as a group study book. Questions at the end of each chapter are designed to aid in discussion or individual thought and reflection.
Join Carmen as she dives deep into how diamonds are shaped, and you will:
- REJOICE as you acknowledge victories you’ve already won.
- DESIRE to persevere in your challenges before you with your authority.
- SEEK to soar to new heights in your walk with the Lord
Reviews
Were one to read “The Shaping of a Diamond” with only the aspiration of becoming a diamond-cutter or gemologist, reading and reflecting upon fundamental aspects of the Jewel-fashioning process would be worthwhile enough. But “The Shaping of a Diamond” is a literal “pocketbook”, intended to go with the reader as a daily primer, hopefully also as a life-changing compass, pointing to a perfect reflection and refraction of light! Whaaat’d he say?
For a moment, imagine people as moving crystal chandeliers, dull, dusty, uncut, reflecting no light, un-elevated, unattractive, and un-useful. And along comes a thin little book of eyeglass-cleaning cloths, 36 of them, called “Reflections”……..well, I think you get the picture: cutting (yes, cloths that cut!), cleaning, polishing, and positioning, for an increasingly uplifted, glorious, illuminating life, however much of it remains.
Kudos to its author and the Author of her inspiration!

It has been my privilege to read “The Shaping of a Diamond.” The analogy she is creating with His children as precious stones is exquisite, helpful, encouraging, and “enlightening”. She reinforces that the Lord has our best interest at heart and wants us to use our gifts to bless others. May this little book be a BIG influence for you as you read it and may your “light” become the “light” He created you to be in a dark world.
As for Carmen, I can hear those precious words coming from our Savior as He says, “Well done my good and faithful servant!
