Romans 12:2 tells us “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
We understand we renew our mind by reading and meditating on the Word of God which is the Truth. Everything else is a lie of the enemy. As we continue to read the Word, accept it and believe it, we are feeding our mind with the Truth. In order to renew our mind we need to believe the Word we read. In addition we need to reject the lies of the enemy and do not “entertain” them by meditating on them.
Yet Ephesians tells us to be renewed “in the spirit of our mind.”
What does that mean: “the spirit of our mind?”
In chapter 4 of Ephesians the verses before and after verse 23 give us a list of detailed instructions about our “new man,” which was “created in righteousness and true holiness.”
I believe “being renewed in the spirit of our mind” is applying the “renewed mind” to our behavior to reflect the “new man.”
Romans 12:2 goes on to say “that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” As we apply the Truth to every part of our behavior we are being transformed. And our behavior in turn, proves the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.
We become a living testimony of the heart of God!
